The COVID-19 crisis and stay at home orders has been somewhat challenging for me. I have no partner/spouse. It is me, my 3 (adorable) dogs, my cat, lots of food, music, tv, books and the internet. Oh, and my telephone. (I am catching up with friends. And, I continue to choose to see the glass is half full with the COVID-19 crisis and the stay at home orders. That is not to say I don’t have moments and hours where I struggle with a pessimistic attitude and boredom.
But I am doing a lot right, too, such as:
- Eating clean with lots of veggies
- getting plenty of sleep
- Washing my hands, a lot!
- Listening to music I enjoy
- Taking my supplements
I have struggled with meditation even though I understand how beneficial it is. Today, I am choosing to start to meditate. I am committing to meditating, at least 5-10 minutes a day for 30 days, and then evaluate how I feel and think about it. I decided to use the HeadSpace app. There are many different Apps. And a friend of mine swears by HeadSpace.
How are you doing?
What struggles are you having?
If you need support, I am here for you. I am not trying to sell you anything but truly give in this unprecedented time of fear. If I don’t have the resources to help you I probably know someone who does have the resources.
Consider starting a new habit or learning a new skill. Can you join me in committing to do one new thing daily for 30 days?
